1. The Famous Five

Author - Enid Blyton

Five friends who solves mystery together. They are an interesting bunch.

Series but can be read in any order.

Would recommend to 7-12 year olds.

Language is easy to understand and child can expand vocabulary.

Bonus point : One of the character is a doggo named timmy. Who doesn't like dogs?

2. Agatha Oddly

Author - Lena Jones

A thirteen year old girl who grew up reading detective novels and also a detective herself is looking for her first case to crack.

She uncovers some secrets which changes her life forever.

It could be a bit heavy as it's a little over 200 pages but it is totally worth the time.

A trilogy:-

Agatha Oddly: Secret Key
Agatha Oddly: murder at the museum
Agatha Oddly: the silver serpent

Would recommend to 10 - 15 year olds.

Language is easy, fun and a good novel for a beginner.

Bonus point: you will soon find out why the protagonist's name is Agatha.

3. Nancy Drew

Author - Carolyn Keene

Classic series of a teen girl Nancy who solves mysteries of rather attracted to mysteries. Nancy is brave, intelligent and kind hearted.

Would recommend to 7-11 year olds.

Easy to understand language and can be finished in one sitting.

4. Adventures of Tintin

Author - Hergé

Story of a young brave journalist, Tintin who solves mystery with his best friend snowy the dog and captain haddock.

Tintin covers a lot of genres like mystery, fantasy, science fiction. Just tiny elements.

It's a comic book series which makes it more fun.

Note: The comics are not available in soft copy, atleast in my country. It is available only in hardcover in a whole set. A complete hardcover set.

Recs to 7-70 . Everyone!

5. Sherlock Holmes

Author - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

The classic. The OG. Sherlock Holmes series is a cult classic for generations. A young man who's an actual professional no nonsense detective.

Gifted with a sharp critical brain solves cases with his veteran friend Dr. Watson.

He kind of reminds me of Feluda and Byomkesh Bakshi from my country. Massive fandom.

Sherlock Holmes may seem a bit advance but dont worry, there are several children's edition which one can enjoy.

Recs to 11-18 year olds.

I enjoyed reading these books. Do let me know if you find this helpful. If you have any recommendations do comment!!
